Introduction

• For a group of Local Area Network (LAN) users to have Internet access in an office two usual means are available from local ISP: dial-up access or dedicated leased line.
• For dial-up access, you need a lot of modems and telephone lines for the computers. This approach provides the fastest and cheapest way for single user to get onto the net. The cost, however, grows quickly with the number of computers.
• The other means is to subscribe leased line access service. This approach represents a convenient way for lots of computers to access the Internet simultaneously. However, the costs involved in the link rental and the initial setup and networking equipment are much much higher. Moreover, the link application lead-time can be quite long.
• In order to help LAN users to enjoy low cost and dedicated access convenience, we introduce you with the Virtual Leased Line Internet access. With this kind of service, you can enjoy a leased line type access convenience, but without paying the full leased line cost.
