Fax-over-IP (FoIP) Gateway
Instead of using conventional Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), FoIP uses packet switched IP data network to send or receive fax. FoIP allows fax and data to share the same IP network such as IPLC or Internet and thus it is an alternative & economical means of long distance fax communications. A dedicated FoIP gateway allows you link up 1 or more than 2 fax machines from different regions via an IP data network. It can inter-work with traditional and computer-based fax machine.
